- Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.
This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

The information we collect includes:
- Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. 7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
Global Privacy Control: We recognize and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If you use a browser or extension that supports GPC, we will treat this as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes under applicable state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise these rights, you can contact us by submitting a data subject access request, by emailing us at privacy@itera.health, or by referring to the contact details at the bottom of this document.We will honor your opt-out preferences if you enact the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal on your browser.
Under certain US state data protection laws, you can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with applicable laws.
Request Verification
Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes.If you submit the request through an authorized agent, we may need to collect additional information to verify your identity before processing your request and the agent will need to provide a written and signed permission from you to submit such request on your behalf.
Appeals
Under certain US state data protection laws, if we decline to take action regarding your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing us at privacy@itera.health. We will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state attorney general.11. CONSENT AND THIRD-PARTY IMPACT
How we obtain your consent. We do not process sensitive personal information without your explicit, informed, opt-in consent. We obtain that consent through the following mechanisms: (i) Account creation. When you create an account, you are asked to review and accept this Privacy Notice and our Terms of Service. Acceptance is recorded with a timestamp. (ii) Operating-system health platforms. Before we read any data from a platform-level health service on your device (such as the health and fitness frameworks provided by your mobile operating system), the operating system displays its standard permission prompt listing the specific data categories we are requesting. We only receive the categories you explicitly authorize, and you may revoke any or all categories at any time through your device settings. (iii) Connected third-party health data sources. Before we retrieve any data from a third-party health data source you choose to connect (for example, an electronic health record provider, an insurance plan, or a government health program), you are redirected to that provider’s own authorization page, where the provider independently authenticates you and presents the scope of data we are requesting. We only receive data after you explicitly authorize the connection on the provider’s page. You may revoke this authorization at any time from within our application or directly with the data provider. (iv) Device permissions. Access to your camera, microphone, contacts, notifications, and precise location is requested through the operating system’s standard permission prompts and may be revoked at any time through your device settings. (v) Other sensitive categories. For any other processing of sensitive personal information not covered above, we will request your consent through an in-app consent screen that describes the category of data, the purpose of the processing, and any third parties with whom the data will be shared. You may withdraw any of the consents described above at any time, as described in Section 8 (“WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?”). When sharing information may affect others. Some of the personal information you provide to us may also reveal information about other people. For example: family medical history, genetic information, and certain medical records (such as those relating to hereditary conditions) may reveal information about your biological relatives; information about your household, caregivers, or dependents may reveal information about those individuals; and shared device or account use may incidentally expose information about other users of the same device. You should consider these effects before sharing such information with us or before authorizing us to retrieve such information from third-party sources, and you should ensure that you have any necessary authority to do so. Where we process information that may reveal data about your relatives or other third parties, we treat that information with the same safeguards we apply to your own sensitive personal information, and we do not contact or attempt to identify those third parties on the basis of that information.12. DORMANT AND CLOSED ACCOUNTS
Dormant and closed accounts. We consider an account “dormant” if you have not signed in or otherwise interacted with the Services for twenty-four (24) consecutive months. Before closing a dormant account, we will attempt to notify you at the email address associated with the account and give you a reasonable opportunity to keep the account active. If the account remains dormant after that notice period, or if you voluntarily close your account at any time, we will: (i) deactivate the account; (ii) revoke any authorizations the account holds with third-party data sources, including any active authorization tokens issued by connected health data providers, so that no further data is retrieved on your behalf; (iii) delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account within ninety (90) days of closure, except where a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with tax, accounting, audit, or legal-hold obligations) or where the information has been aggregated or de-identified such that it can no longer reasonably be associated with you; and (iv) remove personal information from backup archives in the next scheduled backup rotation, after which it will no longer be recoverable. Personal information held in backup archives is purged on a rolling basis within ninety (90) days. Closure of your account is permanent; once an account has been closed and the associated data deleted, we cannot restore it. If you wish to withdraw consent rather than close your account entirely, see Section 8 (“WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?”) for the consequences of partial withdrawal.13. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS ON OUR SECURITY MEASURES
In addition to the measures described above, we have implemented the following specific technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information: encryption of personal information in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher; encryption of personal information at rest using AES-256 or equivalent industry-standard algorithms; role-based access controls limiting access to personal information to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need; multi-factor authentication for administrative access to systems containing personal information; secure storage and rotation of cryptographic keys and API credentials; audit logging of access to systems containing personal information; regular vulnerability scanning, security testing, and patching of our infrastructure and application code; secure software development practices, including code review and dependency scanning; isolation of background data-processing components (such as health-data synchronization isolates) from user-facing components; and incident response procedures that enable us to detect, investigate, and notify affected users of security incidents in accordance with applicable law. For data obtained through third-party health data providers, we additionally comply with any security requirements set out in our agreements with those providers, including any applicable restrictions on storage, access, and onward transfer of the data.14. EFFECTS OF WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT
What happens to your data when you withdraw consent. When you withdraw consent, the specific consequences depend on the scope of the withdrawal: (a) If you withdraw consent for a specific integration, such as a connection to a third-party health data provider or to an operating-system health platform, we will immediately stop fetching new data from that source and revoke the corresponding authorization token. Personal information already retrieved through that integration will be deleted from our active systems within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required or permitted by law. (b) If you withdraw consent for processing of a specific category of sensitive personal information (for example, biometric data), we will stop processing that category and delete it from our active systems within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required or permitted by law. (c) If you withdraw your consent in full and close your account, the process described under “Dormant and closed accounts” in Section 5 (“HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?”) applies. In all cases, backup copies are purged on the rotation schedule described in Section 5, and onward sharing of the affected data with service providers and other recipients is also terminated. We will confirm completion of the withdrawal in writing on request.15. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
